(Fort Wayne, IN)-The Superintendent of the Indiana State Police, Douglas G. Carter has promoted Trooper Anthony L. Canul to the rank of Corporal where he will serve as a District Duty Officer at the Fort Wayne post.
Canul is a seven year veteran of the Indiana State Police having been appointed on July 8, 2007 as a graduate of the Department’s 67th Recruit Academy. Upon his appointment, Canul was assigned to the Toll Road post where he patrolled Porter, LaPorte and St. Joseph Counties until 2012, when he transferred to the Fort Wayne post.
During his career, Canul has served as a Field Training Officer and a Background Investigator.
Canul is a resident of DeKalb County.
