On or about the ten o'clock hour of Monday morning, 3/16/15, we received a LoJack hit on a vehicle that was stolen out of Whittier on the very same morning. The location of the vehicle was quickly ascertained by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's departments Aero Bureau. The suspect, realizing that he was being followed by the helicopter, parked the vehicle and fled through several backyards before entering a resident's garage. Our Sheriff Personnel immediately established a containment of the area to insure the capture of the suspect. Special Enforcement Bureau and our Canine Unit were called in to locate and apprehend the individual. After some time they found and arrested the suspect, who was hiding in the attic of the garage.
