Anticipate North Bound I-65 Closed for Approximately One Hour Today

Lafayette-The Indiana State Police at Lafayette expect I-65 north bound from the 188 mile marker to the 193 mile marker to be closed for approximately one hour today, Wednesday, March 18th, 2015, starting at 1:30 p.m., for removal of steel coils from an earlier crash.

The steel coils were from one of the crashes that closed the interstate on March 10th. The coils are in the median between the 188 and 189 mile markers.

All lanes of I-65 north bound will be closed at the 188 mile marker where traffic will be diverted off and rerouted over to US 231 where they can get back on at the 193 mile marker to go north.

Lane closure is expected to last approximately one hour. The start time of these lane closures is approximately 1:30p.m.

Motorists are urged to avoid this area and to seek alternate routes of travel.
