Lt. Erick Bohannon - Special Crimes Unit
At 6:25 AM on March 17, 2015 officers of the Amarillo Police Department were called to 6215 Belpree on shots fired with several victims. Officers arrived and found a female gunshot victim who was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Officers also found the shooting suspect was deceased from a gunshot wound to the head. The investigation revealed the suspect shot the female victim and then shot himself. The deceased suspect was identified as Stacey Edward Burns, age 52. If anyone has any information about this investigation, call the Special Crimes Unit at 378-9468.
