On 3/16/2015 at approximately 5:05 pm Burlington Police and Fire Personnel were summoned to the vicinity of 60 Battery Street for the report of a pedestrian versus motor vehicle accident. The pedestrian, a 24 year old female from Massachusetts, was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.
Preliminary witness statements indicate the female inexplicably dashed into on-coming traffic, thus striking the passing motor vehicle.
Once family notifications have been made we will release additional information and names.
Anyone who may have witnessed this accident is asked to call the Burlington Police Department.

Pedestrian’s name: Stephania Ivanof, 24 years old of Marshfield, Mass. No change in status.
