Sunday evening (3/15/15), the Adair County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with a homicide investigation after deputies responded to a 911 call of a shooting that took place near Stilwell. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Gary Lynn Kester, 62, dead of a gunshot wound. Deputies arrested Glen Kester (d.o.b. 1/23/1957) for first degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm after former conviction. The brothers were engaged in an argument when Glen shot and killed Gary. Glen was booked into the Adair County jail. Both men lived in the area where the shooting took place.
