An arrest warrant has been issued for Henry Solis charging him with 187 PC, for the murder of Salome Rodriguez, Jr.
A vehicle that the suspect may be using is a 1992 Ford Pick-Up, Brown or Tan in color, California License 4J79703.
Suspect Solis is a police officer and should be considered armed and dangerous. The suspect knows he is wanted, and that police are actively searching for him. It is a felony for any person to harbor, conceal or aid a fugitive in an effort to avoid or escape arrest. If you have any information about the suspect’s whereabouts, please contact police immediately.

**UPDATE: Victim’s identity released; Person of Interest Identified. **
The victim in the homicide that occurred on March 13th has been identified as Salome Rodriguez, Jr. Mr. Rodriguez was a 23-year-old Ontario resident.
Pomona Police Department Homicide Investigators have identified a person of interest, regarding this murder and are asking for assistance in locating him.
The Person of Interest is:
Henry Solis, a Male Hispanic, 27 years of age, described as 5’-9” in height, 185 lbs., last known address in Pomona.
Henry Solis drives a Silver or Gray 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, California License: 7FAS527, which has not been located.
Solis’ whereabouts is unknown, and we have reason to believe that he knows the Police are looking to talk with him.
Henry Solis is a probationary Los Angeles Police Officer, who was off-duty when this incident occurred has failed to report to work since the murder took place. The Los Angeles Police Department is assisting Pomona Police investigators in locating him.

Original Release Sent on March 13, 2015:
On 3/13/2015 at 0329 am, the Pomona Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting gun shots being heard in the area of Third St. and Main St. Officers responded to the area where they located a 23 year old male Ontario resident who was suffering from gunshot wounds to the lower torso. He was transported by ambulance to USC Medical Center where he later died.
Pomona Police Department Homicide Investigator's responded to the scene where they launched a murder investigation. The preliminary investigation indicates the victim and suspect were engaged in a physical altercation prior to the shooting.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult. It is unknown if the suspect and the victim knew each other prior to the altercation. An unknown colored compact vehicle was seen leaving the area after the incident. It's unknown at this time if that vehicle was related to the shooting. Detectives are actively working all leads and do not believe the incident to be gang related.
