Man Arrested for Unlawful Restraint

On Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 5:58 PM, the Lockport Police Department was contacted regarding a female who was possibly being held against her will by her ex-boyfriend.  After evaluating the information that was received, and finding it to be credible, officers responded to 563 Parkview Ln in an attempt to make contact with the victim and/or offender.

Upon arrival, the officers were unable make contact with anyone inside the apartment, either through the phone or at the door.  Fearing that the female may have been in danger, officers forced entry into the apartment.  Once inside, officers found a 37 year old female, who was being held in a bedroom by Christopher E. Cihon, age 45.

Cihon was arrested at the scene without incident and was charged with Unlawful Restraint, Violation of an Order of Protection, and Violation of Bail Bond and was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.  Neither the victim or the offender were injured during the incident.
