Nature of Incident: Moorpark Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure

Narrative:
On March 12, 2015, at about 9:14 AM, a female bus driver with the Moorpark Unified School District was in the area of the 14000 block of Crystal Ranch Road. While she was waiting for a student, (S) Richard Patrick Ford approached her bus and engaged her in conversation. At some point during the conversation, Ford directed the Victim’s attention to his groin area at which time she noticed that the zipper of his pants was partially down exposing his genitals. Ford continued talking to the victim while he further exposed his genitals. At no time did Ford make any attempt to cover himself.

After an extensive investigation by the Moorpark Police Department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s East County Major Crime Bureau, Ford was located at a local coffee shop. Ford was contacted, arrested, and booked by detectives without incident into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Ventura for one felony count of indecent exposure.
