On 3/16/2015, at 1230 am, the Pomona Police Department received a 911 call reporting there was a victim of a shooting at a residence in the 1200 block of W Third street. The caller said the victim who was known to her, walked into her residence and subsequently collapsed on the floor. She said he had been shot by an unknown suspect. Officers responded and found a 30 year old male Hispanic Pomona resident (Identification pending notification of next of kin) laying on the floor. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded, however, the victim did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Pomona Police Department Homicide Detectives responded and launched a murder investigation.

The preliminary investigation revealed no suspect or suspect vehicle information. It is also unknown at this time if the murder is gang related. Detectives are actively working this investigation and are seeking any information related to the shooting.
