Citizen's Academy starts April 15th. 
The Citizen’s Academy is a 7-week program that educates and familiarizes you with the police operations and programs designed protect and serve the community. All citizens who live, work or go to school in Montebello age 18 and older are qualified to participate. Past participants include elected officials, business owners, homemakers, teachers, community activists, students and those interested in law enforcement.
The men and women of the Montebello Police Department will provide interesting presentations and hands-on demonstrations that cover the following topics:
• Crime Analysis
• Dispatch
• Detectives
• Gangs
• Jail Operations
• Narcotics Investigations
• Police Canine
• Police Officer Selections
• Patrol Operations
• Traffic
• Transit Bureau
• Use of Force
The next Citizen’s Academy begins April 16, 2015 and is held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Classes are held at the Montebello Police Department. There is no cost. For more information go to our website. http://bit.ly/CitzAcademy
