Four People Arrested on a Total of 13 Felony Charges

Peru – Last night, a month long illegal narcotics investigation by Indiana State Police Senior Trooper Mike Lorona resulted in the arrests of four people to face a total of 18 criminal charges. Thirteen of the charges are felony counts.

Last night at approximately 9:42 p.m., officers from the Indiana State Police and the Peru Police Department executed a Miami Superior Court I search warrant on a home at 183 East Third Street, Peru, IN.  During their search, officers allegedly found methamphetamine, a methamphetamine lab, marijuana, chemical precursors, syringes, and prescription medication.  Officers arrested Cory Pyeritz, 44, Kayla Walrod, 24, David Jones, 30, all from Peru, IN. Jacob Aulds, 30, Denver, IN, was also arrested.  All four were at the home during the execution of the warrant. Pyeritz lived at the residence. They were all incarcerated in the Miami County Jail.

Charges:

  • Cory Pyeritz: Felony charges for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of precursors, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of methamphetamine. Misdemeanor charges for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
  • Jacob Aulds: Felonies for possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, and possession of drug precursors. Misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Kayla Walrod: Felony charges for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a scheduled II narcotic, and possession drug precursors. Misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • David Jones: Felony charges for possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, and possession of drug precursors. Misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia.
