Marshals Task Force catches fugitive wanted for running over woman in 2014

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. (12MAR2015) – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office and two deputy US Marshals from Spokane searched for and arrested two wanted fugitives today.

Raymundo Juarez Garcia, 23 of Othello, was found in the 300 block of East Elm Street in Othello. The task force staked out the house for several hours and found Garcia hiding under a blanket next to a clothes dryer in the house. Juarez Garcia was wanted for DUI, driving while license suspended and hit and run, all in connection with an incident October 20, 2014 near Beverly. In that incident, the victim said she was walking along the shoulder of Main Street when she was struck from behind by a 2000 Nissan Maxima driven by Juarez Garcia who then fled the scene. The victim was hospitalized and survived.

The second fugitive caught was Nathan Lee Mulliner, 24 of Moses Lake. Mulliner was arrested at a home in the 7800 block of Road D.5-Northeast in rural Moses Lake. Mulliner was wanted by the Department of Corrections for escape community custody.

“I’m very proud the task force was able to catch these two bad guys,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “Catching Juarez Garcia was especially rewarding given the seriousness of the crime.”
