On March 2nd, 2015, the Culver City Police Department arrested Peter Jirgis of Santa Monica, at his residence for the alleged theft of a high end bicycle. Jirgis saw the bicycle listed for sale on Craigslist and arranged to meet with the owner. Jirgis ultimately rode away on the listed bicycle without offering payment.

At the time of his arrest, Jirgis was in possession of several other high end bicycles that are also presumed to be stolen. These bicycles were recovered and the Culver City Police Department is attempting to locate the rightful owners.
