On March 11, 2015 San Luis Obispo Police Detectives served a search warrant at the home of Christopher Kluck in the City of San Luis Obispo. Detectives had recently received information from Arroyo Grande Police Department Detectives that Kluck was in possession of child pornography. The Arroyo Grande Detective who provided this information is trained and affiliated with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC).
During the search warrant, four computers, seven hard drives, as well as some thumb drives belonging to Kluck were seized. A brief search of one of the computers revealed numerous images and videos of child pornography. The children depicted in these images appeared to be of various ages from possibly 10 to 17 years of age. Kluck was placed under arrest without incident at his residence.
During preliminary analysis a SLOPD Forensic Computer Specialist discovered Kluck possessed tens of thousands of files containing images and videos. It will take several weeks for these files to be viewed to determine if they contain additional child pornography. This case remains active and is currently under investigation. Kluck was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for PC 311.11(a) Possession of minor(s) involved in sexual conduct. His bail was set at $35,000.
