City of Compton Commercial Truck Route Violations
TRUCK ROUTE VIOLATIONS: 12-2.30(e) CMC. Truck off Truck Route. Santa Fe Avenue between Alondra Boulevard and Oaks Street, city of Compton.
The city of Compton has designated specific truck routes within the city. Trucks over the weight of 6000 lbs., are not to be driven off of the truck routes unless they are making a delivery to a location that is off of the truck route. This will be primarily the “Big Rig” truck, but will include smaller box trucks. The weight limit on the truck is a sticker on the driver’s door. Most stickers will be “15”, “20”, “26”, “35”, and “80”. All of these trucks are too heavy to be off the truck route and damage the street.
12-2.30(e) CMC, Truck off Truck Route; will be used in the enforcement of the truck routes. The primary violations occur on both North and South bound Santa Fe between Alondra Boulevard and Oaks Street.
Please refer tot the attached map for all the truck routes in the city of Compton.
