NARRATIVE:
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Altadena Sheriff’s Station, are assisting the Pasadena Police Department in the investigation of a deputy-involved traffic collision that occurred today at the intersection of East Washington Boulevard/North Hill Street.
Deputies were responding to an emergency assistance request with red lights and siren activated. As the deputy entered the intersection, he collided with a mini hatchback vehicle. There was severe damage to the patrol vehicle and the other vehicle. The deputy and all four female occupants of the mini hatchback vehicle were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The details of the injuries are not known, other than there were complaints of pain.
The cause of the collision is under further investigation by the Sheriff’s Department and Pasadena Police Department.
There is no additional information available at this time.
