March 6-10, 2015


3/6/15

1114 Hours: During a security check in the area of Newark Blvd and Highway 84, Officer Fredstrom arrested a 50-year-old female (transient) for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1342 Hours: Officer Knutson investigated a theft of a package from a porch on Joaquin Murieta Ave. Loss was a pair of shoes. Time frame was from 1252 hours to time of call.

2008 Hours: Officer Rodgers responded to the Ross store on a report of graffiti that was found on the side of the building. Officer Rodgers arrested a 20-year-old female of Newark for vandalism.

2335 Hours: During a traffic stop on Thornton Ave, Officer Musantry arrested a 22-year-old male of Fremont for DUI.


3/7/15

0353 Hours: Officer Khairy investigated a traffic collision involving a solo vehicle that overturned on Central Ave near Filbert St. The driver was not injured during the collision and alcohol did not appear to be a factor.

0415 Hours: Officer Homayoun responded to the parking lot of Safeway on a report of a subject passed out in a vehicle. A 27-year-old male (transient) was arrested for two warrants and possession of a controlled substance.

0432 Hours: Officer Losier investigated a burglary at Subway on Jarvis Ave.

2151 Hours: During a warrant service on Thornton Ave, Officer Rodgers arrested a 19-year-old male of Newark.


3/8/15

0315 Hours: While performing a security check of the businesses at Newark Blvd and Cedar Blvd, Officer Khairy arrested a 27-year-old male of Hayward for a warrant.

0500 Hours: Officer Homayoun investigated a domestic violence incident that occurred at a residence on Fair Ave. A 36-year-old male was arrested for domestic battery.

1239 Hours: During an unrelated investigation at Burlington Coat Factory, Officer Nobbe arrested a 32-year-old female of Fremont for a warrant.

1609 Hours: Officer Katz responded to JC Penney’s and accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 47-year-old male of San Jose for petty theft.

1645 Hours: Officers responded to Ash St on a report of a domestic violence. Officer Reyes arrested a 51-year-old male of Newark for domestic battery.

1751 Hours: Officer Khairy investigated a burglary to the snack shack near the gymnasium at Newark Memorial High School.


3/9/15

0900 Hours: CSO Verandes investigated a theft of a silver 2000 Honda Civic from Magnolia Street.

0942 Hours: CSO Verandes investigated a theft of a white 1994 Honda Civic from Joaquin Murieta Ave.

1047 Hours: During a warrant service on Truckee Ct, Officer Lopez arrested an 18-year-old male of Newark.

1221 Hours: During a pedestrian stop and follow-up probation search on Lasalle Dr, Officer Reyes arrested a 57-year-old male of Newark for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.


3/10/15

0853 Hours: During a warrant service on Laurel Street, Officer Schwerin arrested a 27-year-old male of Newark.

1007 Hours: During a warrant service at the Comfort Inn, Officer Johnson arrested a 45-year-old female of San Jose for a warrant, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
