Around 9:00 a.m. today, March 11, 2015, Chris Rust, Warden High School Principal, was told by some students that one of their classmates was going to “shoot up the school today.” The school was placed in lockdown and the Warden Police were notified. The student of interest was not at school. Warden Police responded to the student’s home and contacted the student and his mother. Warden Police confirmed that the threat was just a rumor. The school district released their building from the lockdown, and proceeded with the rest of their day.
