(Etowah County, Alabama) An Attalla man has been arrested and charged in connection to the theft of metal fence posts, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Richard Erbie Reeves, 52, is charged with one count of second degree theft of property, which is a felony,” investigator Robin Grant said.

Reeves allegedly stole fence posts, valued at more than $600, from property located on Littleton Cutoff Road, Attalla. The victim stated the incident took place between February 23 and February 24.

Several of the fence posts were recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

Reeves was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $2,500 bond.
