Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is releasing the name of one of the people who died in the vehicle collision on the afternoon of March 9, 2015 in the 3000 block of River Road of Santa Rosa.
One of the deceased is identified as Jerry Ray Thompson, a 58 year old man from Windsor. His family was located and informed of his death.
The other driver has not been positively identified yet. Coroner Detectives are currently making efforts so notification can be made to next of kin.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of each of the deaths.
The California Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the vehicle collision and related deaths.
