Victorville - Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T) is conducting a fatal traffic collision investigation

LOCATION: National Trails Hwy ¼ mile north of Turner Road at the Iron Bridge, City Of Victorville
INVOLVED PARTY (1): 59 year old, white male adult, Apple Valley resident, driving a blue, 2009 Harley Davidson
Motorcycle
INVOLVED PARTY (2) 20 year old, white female adult, Helendale resident, driving a black, 2007 Chevrolet Silverado
SUMMARY: On Sunday, March 8, 2015, at approximately 5:45 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the report of a traffic collision at National Trails Hwy ¼ mile north of Turner Road at the Iron Bridge in the city of Victorville. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that involved party (I/P) number one was traveling south on National Trails Hwy and crossed over into the northbound lane. I/P #2 was traveling northbound on National Trails Hwy. I/P #1 side swiped I/P #2. I/P #1 was ejected from the motorcycle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. I/P #2 was uninjured.
The collision is under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.).
