Traffic

Sections of Morning Glory Road (Washington Valley Road to Rt 22) along with King George Road (From Washington Valley Road to Morning Glory Road) will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be no access to Rt 22 during this time.


New Jersey American Water will be installing approximately 1.500 feet of 16-inch water main on Morning Glory Road between Woodland Terrace and Scheurman Terrace.

Weather permitting, the project will start on or about March 9 and will be completed by approximately April 3. Depending on the date construction is completed; we anticipate that temporary road restoration will be completed by May 1, and final paving to be completed by October.

We do not expect any disruptions to your water service as a result of the work. Customers may experience a slight dis-coloration of water when the new pipeline is placed into service. If this happens, run your water until it clears up. If problem persists please call customer service at the number provided.

Work Hours

The work hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by lights and noise related to the installing of the new piping. Please know that New Jersey American Water and its contractor, Vollers Excavating & Construction will work to complete this important project as quickly as possible.
