HCSO Patrol Deputies Locate Children Reported Missing

(HOUSTON, TX) – A couple of observant HCSO deputies located two children who were reported missing by the Houston Police Department after being taken unlawfully by their grandmother.

On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at approximately 7:43 p.m. HCSO Deputies K. Price and J. Herrera pulled over to assist a stranded motorist at the intersection of Spring Cypress Rd. and Interstate 45. Ultimately the vehicle, an RV, had to be towed.

A few hours later, Dep. Herrera saw the Amber Alert that had been issued for the four year-old brother and his three year-old sister and realized they were the two children in the stranded vehicle they had assisted earlier. He contacted his partner, Dep. Price.

Dep. Price contacted the wrecker driver who towed the RV and found out the vehicle had been towed to Scottish Inn located 20543 North Freeway.

Both deputies drove to the motel where they located the children and contacted the Houston Police Department.

Three people were detained.

Great job Deputies Herrera and Price. You make the HCSO proud!

**Both deputies will be available for media interviews today at 2 p.m. at 1200 Baker St. in downtown Houston.
