Afternoon Storm Update: 2-3 inches + of snow has already fallen across the region and a steady snow will continue through the afternoon. The intensity will vary with moderate to even heavy bursts possible. With temperatures in the upper 20s and falling, some icing under the snow accumulation will likely to occur through the duration of the day. Snow lightens up considerably by the evening commute and will taper off. A hard freeze of all slush and snow covered surfaces will take place for tonight with temps falling through the teens.
