DATE & TIME: 03/08/15 at 1:00PM (Remember daylight savings time.) Route: Parade starts at 5th Avenue and Ocean Avenue and proceeds south on Ocean Avenue to Asbury Avenue-then west on Asbury Avenue to Kingsley Street-south on Kingsley Street to Cookman Avenue west-Cookman Avenue to Main Street with the “Reviewing Stand” at Press Plaza---North on Main Street, left on Bangs Avenue and then-left into the Municipal lot.
PLAN AN ALTERNATE ROUTE: From 1200 hours, Lake Avenue from Main Street east to Wesley Lake Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic. Local traffic ONLY may enter and exit Lake Avenue at Main Street. This Lake Avenue corridor will be used for EMERGENCY vehicles to access and exit the parade route. The 800 block of Bangs Avenue (Memorial Drive to Main Street) will be closed to all traffic at 1200 hours. Ocean Avenue from 5th Avenue to Asbury Avenue will be closed at 11:30 a.m. Only local traffic will be permitted in the 100 blocks, between 5th Avenue and 1st Avenue. Streets heading to Ocean will be closed with barricades on the east side of Kingsley Street from 5th Avenue to 1st Avenue. Once the parade steps off at 1:00 p.m. no vehicular traffic will be allowed on the parade route. Main Street will be closed between Lake Avenue and Summerfield Avenue at 1:15 p.m. Bond Street behind Dunkin Donuts will be closed from Main Street to Lake Avenue at 12:00 noon.
NO PARKING: Friday, March 6, 2015, signs will be posted on Emory Street from Cookman Avenue east to Lake Avenue, BOTH SIDES, stating “NO PARKING SUNDAY 9AM-6PM.”
Saturday, March 7, 2015, at noon, signs will be posted stating “NO PARKING SUNDAY 9AM-5PM” for the entire length of Cookman Avenue (Main Street to Asbury Avenue) NORTH SIDE ONLY.
