The Newark Police Department is proud to help get the word out about a special event to honor the life of BART PD Sergeant Tommy Smith. Please know you will be helping one of our own. Sergeant Smith’s brother is an officer with your Police Department.

Newark Police Officer Jeff Neithercutt will be honoring Sergeant Smith and all fallen officers by participating in the 2015 Police Unity Tour. This cycling event starts in New Jersey and ends in Washington D.C. at the National Law Enforcement Memorial. Officer Neithercutt will be riding in the event and representing Sergeant Smith as well as other fallen officers. Proceeds raised by Officer Neithercutt go to the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
