Kentucky Man Jailed After Drugs Were Found During A Traffic Stop
Seymour – A Kentucky man was jailed after drugs were found inside his car during a traffic stop.
On March 02, 2015 around 4:11 PM, Indiana State Police Trooper Randel Miller stopped a black Kia passenger car for an expired license plate on I-65 south at the 51mm. While speaking with the lone driver, Trooper Miller detected some criminal indicators that caused him to investigate further. Trooper Miller and his canine partner “Jinx” conducted an exterior walk around the car. “Jinx” alerted to an odor of drugs. Trooper Miller and Trooper Seth Davidson conducted a search of the Kia. The result of their search lead to over three grams of crack cocaine, four grams of marijuana, a digital scale and drug packaging materials being found.
Andrew Doty III 45, of Lexington, KY, was arrested at the scene and charged with one count of Dealing Cocaine, a Level 5 Felony, Possession of Cocaine, a Level 5 Felony, Possession of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class B Infraction. Doty III was transported to the Jackson County Jail where he was incarcerated.
