Alert

EXTREME TRAVEL WARNING: MULTIPLE STRANDED MOTORISTS, INCLUDING POLICE UNITS. AVOID TRAVEL. SEE FULL ALERT 4 DETAILS.

The San Angelo Police Department is alerting residents to a dangerous winter weather travel situation.

Aside from multiple crashes, police are dealing with multiple calls for service for stranded motorists who have become disabled due to the layer of ice on the roadways.   Several Officers who are attempting to respond to assist these drivers have become stranded as well.

The San Angelo Police Department is urging citizens to please stay off the roadways.  Conditions are making it nearly impossible to respond safely to calls for service.  We are asking you to partner with us and avoid traveling so officers can be available to respond to critical emergencies.
