OFFICERS INVOLVED: Officer Zachary Rhein, Detective Michael Legg and Jeffrey Malone
ACCUSED: James C. Williams age 25 Hamilton, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On 2/18/15 at approximately 7:40 pm, Officer Zachary Rhein was dispatched to the Family Dollar Store in reference to a theft of cash by an employee. An investigation revealed that an employee was suspected of stealing eleven bank bags containing $9,185.73 in cash.
A follow up investigation by Detectives Legg and Malone identified James C. Williams as being responsible for the thefts. Detectives arrested Mr. Williams on 2/25/14 at police headquarters. During the arrest detectives recovered 5 of the stolen bank bags containing a total of $3719.66.
Mr. Williams was charged with the thefts and was released on a complaint summonses and is scheduled to appear at a future court hearing.
