On February 27, 2015 at approximately 1:47AM, officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of I-27 (Canyon Drive) for northbound traffic on a single vehicle rollover. Responding officers found that a 2000 Hyundai 4-door driven by Thomas Forrest Brown, WM, 29 of Amarillo had been northbound in the 4100 block of Canyon Drive. Brown lost control of his vehicle, skidded of f of the highway, and then rolled when it impacted the median separating the highway from the service road. The car came to rest on the service road. Brown was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Speed and alcohol are factors in this crash. The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Dept.
