MONROE – February 24, 2015: On Tuesday night at approximately 6:45 pm, officers contacted multiple people at Twin Rivers Chevron on West Main Street in Monroe. One of the occupants of the vehicle had gone into the restroom. As an officer approached the men’s restroom, a male exited and upon seeing the officer ran to the ladies’ restroom and locked the door. The officer ordered him to open the door, the subject did not comply and the officer heard a toilet flush. A key was obtained to gain entry as the officer heard the toilet flush again. The male attempted to keep the door closed as the officer forced it open.

Upon entry, the officer could see suspected Heroin lying all around the toilet and small chunks scattered throughout the restroom. The officer also observed a dark brown substance in the bottom of the toilet that was removed for evidence. The male admitted to having Heroin and a plastic bag with a large amount of brown substance was removed from his pocket. A female at the vehicle asked for her cigarettes that the male had. The officer retrieved the cigarette pack and saw a large chunk of brown substance in the pack. The male also had a digital scale with heavy brown residue on it. Officers collected the 46 grams of suspected Heroin to place in evidence. The vehicle was impounded, a search warrant is pending.

Dino Urness, age 26, and Trista Plaggmier, age 24, of Monroe were transported to the Snohomish County Jail for booking on Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
