APD Pace Unit officers arrest two men on weapons and outstanding warrants charges.
On Wednesday February 25th at 3:00am, APD Pace officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 1400 block of Amarillo Blvd East. Upon contacting the driver and passenger both were identified and checked for warrants. The passenger was found to have outstanding warrants and was removed from the vehicle. As officers were removing the passenger, they observed several items of narcotic paraphernalia in the vehicle. Based on the on view observation, officers removed the driver and searched the vehicle for contraband. Officers located numerous items of narcotic paraphernalia as well as a sawed off shotgun. The shotgun which had both the stock and barrel cut down was located under the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Potter County Correction Center. The driver is identified as Christopher Bradley Arthur W/M 26 of Amarillo, was charged with Prohibited Weapon (short barrel), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia. The passenger, Erik Todd Gilmore W/M 24 of Amarillo, was charged with warrants out of Moore Co for Theft of Property over $20 less than $500, and a warrant for Bail Jumping. Gilmore also had 4 outstanding traffic warrants through Potter County.
