The Sheriff's Department wants your help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with two burglaries at the Valley Center Library.
The total loss from the burglaries is estimated at nearly $15,000. Photos of some of the stolen items are included in this bulletin.
The first burglary happened sometime between 8:00 p.m. on December 24, 2014 and 8:45 a.m. on December 26, 2014 at the Valley Center Library, which is located in the 14000 block of Horse Creek Trail.
The following items were taken from the Valley Center Library:
* Mobile iPad charging station
* Black digital Nikon DX camera
* Red digital Canon camera
* Dark gray Safeguard safe containing about $200 in cash
* 10 white iPads with individual cases
The suspect also stole the keys to the Valley Center Library and the adjacent Valley Center History Museum.
The total loss from this first burglary is valued at about $6,600.
On January 27, 2015, a library employee noticed the library had been burglarized again. The suspect took the following items from a storage room:
* Black Aspire laptop
* Gray Dell Latitude laptop
* Black Epson projector
* 42” Insignia television
* Insignia Blu-ray player
* Two PlayStation 2 game consoles
* White Xbox game console
* DVD/Disc player
* Several paintings, sculptures and art pieces.
The total loss in this second burglary is valued at about $8,000.
Anyone with information on the identity and location of the suspect in this case is asked to call the Valley Center Sheriff’s Substation at (760) 751-4400 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
