ISP Corporal from Huntington County Promoted to Sergeant

(Fort Wayne, IN)-The Superintendent of the Indiana State Police, Douglas G. Carter, has announced the promotion of Corporal Timothy J. Dolby to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Dolby has been transferred from the Fort Wayne Post to the Laboratory Division where he will serve as a Crime Scene Investigator.

Dolby, a 1987 graduate of Huntington North High School, was appointed to the Department on June 13, 1999 as a graduate of the 57th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy and was assigned to the Toll Road post as a probationary trooper.

In 2000, Dolby transferred to the Fort Wayne Post where over the next ten years, he would patrol in Wells, Huntington and Blackford Counties.  He has also served the Department as a member of the Tactical Intervention Platoon and a Master Diver on the SCUBA team. 

In August 2011, Dolby was promoted to the rank of Corporal at the Fort Wayne Post where his responsibilities included special federal projects, OWI saturation patrols and checkpoints, along with first line supervisory duties.
