Officer Kennedy observed the suspect’s vehicle on Colchester Ave traveling east bound with substantial front end damage to include a defective headlight. Upon further observation of the manner in which the vehicle was operating, Officer Kennedy attempted to stop the suspect vehicle with lights and siren. The suspect failed to pull over for Officer Kennedy and was eventually stopped in the City of Winooski where Rodriguez was placed in custody without incident.
The speed ranged from approximately 20-30 MPH.
Officers located a parked vehicle on Pearl Street in the City of Burlington that had sustained substantial rear end damage.
Javier Rodriguez was charged with Attempting to Elude Police, DUI and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. He was lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Facility for lack of $5000 bail.
