The San Marcos Sheriff's Station wants your help in finding a missing person at risk who drove away from her home in the North County.
81-year-old Thelma Margaret Meschke suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and has the early stages of dementia. She also needs to take her medication.
Thelma was last seen just before 9:00 a.m. on Friday, February 20 at her home along Nordahl Road in an unincorporated area of Escondido. That's when Thelma's husband left for a dental appointment.
Before he left, Thelma told him she wanted to have her nails done. When her husband returned home from the dentist, Thelma was gone.
Thelma Meschke drove off in a purple colored 4-door Honda Civic with California license plate number: 5YWL930. Because of Thelma's condition, the DMV revoked her drivers license about a year ago.
Thelma has driven away from home in the past. She has usually returned on her own or gets lost on her way to visit family in San Clemente. Thelma has also been found in shopping center parking lots when she has been lost.
Thelma stands 5'4" tall, weighs 152 pounds, has shoulder length grey hair and brown eyes.
