Sheriff's S.W.A.T. unit serves search warrant in Kidnapping case.

On 2/18/15, a 22 year old female victim arrived at the Petaluma Police Department to report that she had been kidnapped at gunpoint three weeks ago and held against her will at a property in Santa Rosa, Ca. She reported having been beaten and sexual abused. The victim had injuries consistent with her statement. The victim explained that she was able to escape after noticing that her captors had left a door open to the residence. Detectives from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Unit were called in to conduct the investigation.

Detectives determined that the kidnapping occurred in the Roseland area of Santa Rosa approximately three weeks ago and this morning were able to identify the location where the victim had been held. Because the suspects were reportedly armed, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s S.W.A.T. team was activated to serve the search warrant at the suspect property in the 3000 block of Stony Point Road. Several persons have been detained in this case, but detectives are still on scene and the investigation is on-going.
