Fontana - Suspect arrested for Theft of a Vehicle and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle

LOCATION: 9200 block of Beechwood Avenue, in the City of Rialto
SUSPECT(S): Hector Alcantar, 34 years, Rialto
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Saturday, February 14, 2015, at approximately 1:28 p.m., a deputy from the Fontana Sheriff's Station conducted a traffic stop on a 1996 Honda Civic License plate# 7JNL451in the area of Beechwood Avenue and Buxton Drive in the City of Rialto.
Sheriff dispatch conducted a records check of the vehicle and it indicated the vehicle had been reported stolen out of the City of San Bernardino. A felony traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle without incident. The suspect, Hector Alcantar, was driving the vehicle at the time of the stop. Alcantar was arrested, transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC 496d (a) and VC 10851.
