Last night, North Brunswick Police Department Patrol Officers responded to the Governor's Point Complex for a reported unconscious male that was barely breathing. Two Officers that were in the area arrived moments after the dispatch and confirmed the caller's observations, along with observing evidence of a heroin overdose. Officers administered the prescribed nasal Narcan medication as per their training, and the overdose victim regained consciousness. The victim was turned over to North Brunswick EMS, and transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
This is the second Narcan use/revival by our Department in the short time since it's deployment. The nasal Narcan was purchased by a program sponsored by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
