One Injured in I-69 Crash
Delaware County- This morning around 9:50 a.m., Troopers responded to the area of I-69 southbound around the 233 mile marker for a three vehicle crash. When they arrived they found a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer facing sideways in the left lane, a 2012 Toyota Highlander stopped in the left lane and a 2009 Dodge Caravan sideways in the left lane.
Preliminary investigation indicates the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Michael P. Clouse, of Albion, IN, was southbound in the right lane when he attempted to change lanes. Mr. Clouse noticed stopped traffic in the left lane, so he went back into the right lane, where he lost control and struck the 2009 Dodge Caravan, driven by Stacy L. Monroe of Muncie, IN, who was stopped in the right lane of traffic. This crash pushed the Dodge Caravan into the left lane, where it struck a 2012 Toyota Highlander, driven by Bruce A. Warshauer of Fort Wayne, IN.
Stacy Monroe was transported to IU Health's Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN with non life threatening injuries.
The Indiana State Police were assisted at the scene by the Salem Twp. Fire and Delaware County EMS.
