Recently, there has been a rash of commercial "smash & grab" style burglaries in our area. These burglaries consist of entering a closed commercial storefront during the overnight hours, quickly grabbing items or cash, then fleeing. The majority of these burglaries had taken place in New Brunswick and North Brunswick. Detectives from these two Police Departments, working together, developed and identified several suspects. The investigation culminated with several arrests early Wednesday morning.
Arrested for these burglaries, as well as related charges were:
Tredell Barnes, Jessica Romero, Peter Small, Michelle Summers, Brian Beckett, Tina Martinez, Ricky Richardson, Pamela Kuzniar, Quyteasea Pryor, Kevin Summers and Chieta Hodges.
Police Officers recovered a significant amount of evidence during the arrests, including burglary proceeds and illegal drugs. This investigation is continuing, with additional charges expected. Charges are possible from other jurisdictions as well.
