#LASD Homicide Detectives to Conduct Vehicle Canvass Operation, 3100 Block of Garey Avenue, Pomona

TIME:                    10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

NARRATIVE:               

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau along with Deputies from San Dimas Station, C.O.P.’s Bureau, F.B.I., and Pomona Police Department will be conducting a Vehicle Canvass Operation on Friday, February 13, 2015, in the City of Pomona.  

Location:  3100 Block of Garey Avenue, Pomona

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Simultaneously, Deputies will also be contacting passengers aboard the San Bernardino Metrolink line between the above indicated hours.

Deputies and officers will be contacting drivers/passengers in an effort to obtain information from possible witnesses who may have seen a male that was possibly involved in the double murder of Shirley and Army Isom in their La Verne home on December 26, 2014.

**4th UPDATE**

LASD Homicide Bureau request Public Assistance to Identify Suspect of Double Homicide in La Verne

 

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives held a press conference on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 to discuss the ongoing homicide investigation into the murders of Shirley and Armie “Troy” Isom, who were discovered on Friday, December 26th, 2014 in the 300 block of Roughrider Road, in the unincorporated La Verne area of Los Angeles County.

                    

Detectives are continuing their investigation and are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate a White or Hispanic male adult suspect depicted in a composite sketch who was seen walking on roadways in the area about the time the crime was discovered. He is described as a male adult in his early 30’s, dressed in a dark hooded jacket and carrying a large backpack on his shoulders, leaving the hillside community.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the murders of Shirley and Armie “Troy” Isom, who were discovered on Friday, December 26th, 2014 in the 300 block of Roughrider Road, in the unincorporated La Verne area of Los Angeles County.

 

Many detectives and forensic specialists have been involved in the investigation since the time the crime was first reported.  The expansive residence and its large-scale surrounding property led to a scene investigation that extended over several days.  In addition, detectives have interviewed family members and many area residents in an effort to determine the identity of the suspect(s) and a possible motive.  To date, no definitive conclusions have developed, and the detailed investigation will diligently continue into the immediate future.

 

The Sheriff’s Department has increased its uniformed patrol presence in the area of the crime, and residents are urged to call their local law enforcement agency if any suspicious activity is observed.  If an urgent matter arises, dial 9-1-1.

 

Detectives are also still working to identify and locate an Hispanic man who was seen walking on roadways in the area about the time the crime was discovered.  He was wearing a hooded jacket and was carrying a backpack on his back.  It is unknown whether this man is connected to the crime, but detectives are seeking to interview him regarding his observations and actions.  As additional information develops, more about the man may be released in the upcoming days.
