Today, February 7, 2015, at 12:15 PM, approximately 1800-2000 people marched in the downtown area. Several hours later the crowd downsized to approximately 300 people. Currently the crowd is estimated at 150 and peaceful.
The Oakland Police Department is focused on working with members of our community, businesses, and other City agencies to ensure a healthy and peaceful environment that cultivates the facilitation of free speech and peaceful demonstrations.
