Columbus – A Hope man was jailed and faces several felony charges after his arrest on Thursday afternoon.

Anthony W. Paul 51, of Hope, was arrested at 11:54 AM after turning himself into Indiana State Police Master Trooper Edward Olibo at the Bartholomew County Jail. Paul’s arrest is the result of a Bartholomew County Superior Court warrant that was issued at the culmination of an Indiana State Police investigation that began in July 2014.

Paul was incarcerated at the Bartholomew County Jail facing two counts of Battery of a person less than 14 years old, each count a Level 6 Felony. Two counts of Neglect of Dependent, each count a Level 6 Felony and one count of Strangulation, a Level 6 Felony. Paul is being held at the jail facing a $75, 000 bond.
