Greensburg – The Indiana State Police is conducting an audit of the Greensburg Police Department’s Evidence Records.

In late December 2014, the Indiana State Police was requested to conduct an investigation regarding missing evidence (US Currency) from the Greensburg Police Department property room. An audit of the Greensburg Police Department property room conducted by the Indiana State Police Laboratory Division in January of this year resulted in the discovery of several discrepancies concerning evidence.

The interim chief and all of the current Greensburg Police Department staff have been cooperative and transparent during this investigation.

This investigation is ongoing and no other information will be released at this time. An update to this investigation will be completed when there is additional information gathered.
