On February 6, 2015 at midnight, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a house in the 21000 block of River Lane in Geyserville. A man called reporting that several men were inside the house with guns and they were beating someone up. While on the phone with 911, he said he heard gunshots and then he escaped out a window. He hid an adjacent vineyard and saw a car speed away.
The first Deputy arrived within five minutes. The suspects were already gone and no one inside the house had serious injuries. There was a house and a granny unit on the property. Present at the house was a husband and wife, their two children, the children’s grandfather, and another couple.
The victims described hearing people yelling and banging on the front door. The masked suspects broke windows to enter the house when they weren’t allowed inside. One person was tied-up by the suspects and two were physically assaulted. The suspects demanded money.
There were at least four male suspects, believed to be Hispanic, who spoke both English and Spanish.
The Deputies recovered unexpended rounds and looked for shells casings outside since the victims reported hearing gunfire. The Deputies found several plastic tubs strewn about the driveway; some full of marijuana buds and some empty.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Investigation and CSI units responded to the scene. This is an open and active case.
