Starke County-An eight year old girl from North Judson was airlifted, yesterday, when the vehicle she was a passenger in was involved in a crash.
Preliminary investigation by Master Trooper Doug Parker revealed that, at approximately 2:00 p.m., yesterday, Tuesday, February 3, 2015, afternoon, a 2013 Toyota Sienna van, driven by Jana N. Sirb, 40 of North Judson was east bound on County Road (CR) 400 S when she lost control of her vehicle on the slushy roadway as she tried to stop at the intersection of CR400S and Range Road (this is approximately 6 miles NE of North Judson).
A 2002 Ford pickup, driven by Robert F. Hajek, 73 of North Judson was going south on Range Road when the Toyota slid into the intersection and the pickup was unable to avoid the collision.
Hajek who was wearing a seat belt was not injured. Sirb (mother) complained of pain and refused treatment at the scene. Linora Sirb (daughter), 8 of North Judson was a passenger in the Toyota and was airlifted from the scene due to the severity of her leg injury and was airlifted to South Bend Memorial.
