01/20/15 WTPD arrested Malcom Nugent, age 25, of Washington NJ, for aggravated assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, criminal mischief, hindering apprehension, possession of CDS (marijuana) less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Nugent was processed and lodged in the WC Jail in lieu of $5000.00 bail.

01/20/15 WTPD arrested Patrick Bentley, age 50, of Washington NJ, for contempt of a judicial order. Mr. Bentley was processed and lodged in the WC Jail in lieu of bail.

01/20/15 WTPD arrested Etta Teune, age 40, of Washington NJ, for obstruction of the administration of law. Ms. Teune was processed and released with a new court date.

01/21/15 WTPD arrested Joseph Garofalo, age 38, of Washington NJ, for burglary, criminal trespass and defiant trespass. On 01/21/15 at approximately 8:27 PM, officers were dispatched to the 30 block of W. Washington Ave in Washington Borough, for a trespassing complaint. The arriving officer’s investigation resulted in Mr. Garofalo’s arrest. Mr. Garofalo was processed and lodged in the WC Jail in lieu of $2500.00 bail.

01/22/15 WTPD arrested Laura Benbow, age 37, of Hackettstown NJ, for a $120.00 warrant out of Washington Township NJ. Ms. Benbow was processed and released with a new court date.

01/23/15 WTPD arrested Allen Davis, age 33, of Oxford NJ, for a $89.00 warrant out of Oxford Township NJ. Mr. Davis was processed and released after posting bail.

01/24/15 WTPD arrested Debra Tripp, age 45, of Washington NJ, for driving under the influence (DUI). On 01/24/15 at approximately 7:43 AM, officers were dispatched to a single car motor vehicle accident in the 300 block of W. Washington Ave in Washington Borough. The motor vehicle accident caused the road to be closed and caused power outages for approximately 7 hours. The officer’s investigation resulted in the driver, Ms. Tripp’s arrest for (DUI). She was processed and had a BAC of .19%. Ms. Tripp was charged with DUI and careless driving. She was released with a court date. Washington Township police were assisted at the scene by the Washington Borough Fire Department, Washington Emergency Squad, Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L), NJSP (Incident Management Unit) and NJ DOT Traffic Diversion Unit.

01/26/15 WTPD arrested Allen Burd, age 28, of Port Murray NJ, for several outstanding warrants out of Mansfield Township. Mr. Burd was processed and lodged in the WC Jail in lieu of bail.

01/28/15 WTPD arrested William Zimmerman, age 57, of Oxford NJ. On 01/28/15 at approximately 8:39 PM, patrol was dispatched to the Oxford Heritage Manor Apts. on Pine St. in Oxford Township for a dispute. The officer’s investigation resulted in Mr. Zimmerman being charged with a local ordinance of disorderly conduct. He was processed and released with a court date.
