Deputies seek irrigation pipe theft victims
GEORGE, Wash. (02FEB2015) -- The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to find the victims of aluminum irrigation pipe theft stemming from an investigation of illegal pipe scrapping in the Quincy/George area.
Deputies are asking area farmers to check their equipment for any missing aluminum pipe including pipe from wheel lines.
The Sheriff’s Office is aware of one incident where a wheel line mover was stolen. Other circumstances suggest that a quantity of aluminum pipe has been stolen, and the victim may not yet know their pipes are missing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Jon Melvin through MACC dispatch at 509-762-1160, or send information to [email protected]. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
